1.1.1.1 not showing correct data for bsrgroup.com.au (8.8.8.8 and 1.0.0.1 are fine)

1.1.1.1 doesn’t have the correct data for this domain (and possibly others, but this is the one we’ve discovered so far), but 1.0.0.1 DOES, as does google’s 8.8.8.8

i.e.:

bsrgroup.com.au
Server: 1.1.1.1
Address: 1.1.1.1#53

UPDATE:: I can’t post replies to this message for some reason, I think because my account is new and still awaiting moderation.

However, this problem seems to have been resolved. NOW when I run an nslookup against 1.1.1.1 for bsrgroup.com.au it returns the correct information:

bsrgroup.com.au
Server: 1.1.1.1
Address: 1.1.1.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
bsrgroup.com.au mail exchanger = 10 au-smtp-inbound-1.mimecast.com.
bsrgroup.com.au mail exchanger = 10 au-smtp-inbound-2.mimecast.com.

However, it was broken for at least several days and perhaps weeks (meaning that e-mail sent by anyone using 1.1.1.1 as their resolver to that domain wasn’t delivered, because it couldn’t find an MX record). I don’t know what fixed it today, whether it was my post here, or something coincidental.

It works fine for me

nslookup bsrgroup.com.au 1.1.1.1
Server: 1dot1dot1dot1.Cloudflare-dns.com
Address: 1.1.1.1

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: bsrgroup.com.au
Address: 210.18.238.9

Pretty weird for 1.1.1.1 to return a referral. It sounds like “1.1.1.1” is being intercepted by a different server, or there’s a weird bug.

Can you post the diagnostic information?

bsrgroup.com.au
