1.1.1.1 is slow and having issues loading sites

I have pointed the DNS to 1.1.1.1 on the router level for years now. Never had issues. Today, the service doesn’t seem to work properly. I am having trouble accessing sites like Reddit, Twitter, and even my own site which is using Cloudflare as DNS.
I absolutely cannot access community[dot]Cloudflare[dot]com with 1.1.1.1 DNS. I have now removed it from my router and I can access every site with no problem.
Is Cloudflare DNS down?
