1.1.1.1 DNS on MacOS & iOS with Ubiquiti UniFi Network Issues

Hi Guys, I can’t figure out what’s going on here. I have Ubiquiti UniFi networks installed around the world and I’m having issues in all locations. I set the DHCP server to hand out 1.1.1.1 as the primary DNS server to all the clients. MacOS and iOS clients will randomly fail to resolve names to addresses.

I switch the clients to use the local router as the DNS server, and the router to use 1.1.1.1 as primary, and everything has worked great.

Question: Any idea what’s going on here?

Hi @chris027, maybe you could try to find the failure domain, and do a packet capture, which will help us figure out the issue.
