1.0.0.1 is faster than 1.1.1.1

Can I use 1.0.0.1 instead of 1.1.1.1? Because 1.1.1.1 is faster for me than 1.0.0.1 and I got this test with dns benchmark software.

You sure can! So put 1.0.0.1 first, then 1.1.1.1 (or another favorite DNS) as a backup.

If one responded to a DNS query more quickly, it should just be because of luck – for example, it might have had to query the authoritative servers one time, but had the result cached the next time.

But if you’re being routed to different locations, or your ISP is intercepting 1.1.1.1 or something, that needs to be fixed.
